Creative Sketches CS34H

 

 

Deze 2 kaartjes heb ik gemaakt met de sketch van Creative Sketches. Ik ben zo vrij geweest om de sketch 1/4 te draaien. Ik heb mezelf een extra uitdaging gegeven om groene kaartjes te maken. Degene die me iets beter kennen, weten dat ik groen niet echt een mooie kleur vind (understatement). Ik heb er een roze touch aan gegeven. Kon het niet laten. Zit kennelijk in een roze fase! Hopelijk vinden jullie mijn groene kaartjes leuk geworden.

*** Creative sketches has a great sketch this week. I made these 2 cards with this sketch. I took the liberty to turn the sketch 1/4. Also I challenged myself to make some green cards. If you know me a little, you'd know I'm not a green fan (which is an understatement). I gave these cards a pink touch. I'm in a pink mood these days.

Afgelopen vrijdag kwam een oud klasgenootje bij mij kaartjes maken. Ik had haar al zo'n 20 jaar niet gezien. Wat een feestje was het! Het leek wel of we elkaar gisteren nog gezien hadden. Naast een kaartje maken hadden we dus ook 20 jaar bij te kletsen. Je zult begrijpen dat een avondje veel te kort was!
We hebben een transparant kaartje gemaakt. Dit is de mijne geworden.

*** Last Friday an old classmate came over to make cards. I hadn't seen her in 20 years. It was way fun! Next to making a card we had some serious catching up to do.
It seemed like we saw each other yesterday. This visit was way too short!
We made a clear card. This is mine.

Birdhouse

Laatst was er bij de 3-D challenge op Papercraft Planet een vogelhuisjes challenge. Ik was toen aan dit project begonnen, maar heb het niet afgemaakt. Toch zonde! Uiteindelijk afgelopen weekend wat tijd gemaakt en het alsnog afgemaakt. Schattig he?

*** There was a birdhouse 3-d challenge on Papercraft Planet a few weeks ago. I started making this project, but didn't finish it at that time. Shame on me! Last weekend I made some time and finished it anyway. Isn't it cute?

Box with elegant soiree cards

De afgelopen 2 dagen ben ik bezig geweest met het maken van dit doosje met kaartjes.
In de hoop dat jullie het leuk vinden heb ik van het doosje een lesje gemaakt.
In dit doosje passen ong 4 à 5 kaartjes van 4.25 bij 5.5 inch.
Net bedacht ik dat ik er misschien nog een klittenbandje op moet zetten, zodat het wat beter sluit. Dus dat is nog een optie.
Deze keer heb ik de tekst van de tutorial in de foto's verwerkt. Ik hoop dat dat werkt. Kun je het niet lezen dan klik je op de foto. Deze wordt dan vergroot (als het goed is). Enjoy!

This box will hold 4 à 5 cards 4.25 x 5.5 inch.
I just thought I might put some velcro on this box, so it will close a bit better.

Heb weer eens een kaartje gefabriekt met de sketch challenge van Cards & Things. Heb een beetje bij Krista gespiekt voor het idee. hihihi Ben op het moment echt inspiratieloos.

A happy hello

 

Weer even met wat restjes aan het stoeien geweest. Als ik dan wat restjes bij elkaar schraap lijkt het in eerste instantie nergens naar. Maar eenmaal een beetje opgepimpt is het toch wel weer leuk. Wat denken jullie ervan?

*** Struggled with some scraps again. When I lay the scraps together it doesn't seem to work out at first. But once I got it pimped a little it's pretty nice, don't you think?

Dit kaartje heb ik weer met allerhande restjes gemaakt. Heerlijk om die restjes eens op te maken!

Sympathy card

 

Helaas had ik een rouwkaartje nodig van de week. Toen heb ik even snel dit kaartje geflanst.
Omdat ik het anders TE somber vond heb ik er een paar rode bloemetjes bij gestempeld.

*** Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card last week. I made a quick and easy one.
Because it was a bit dark I stamped a few red flowers on it.

Topnote doosje met minikaartjes

 

 

 

 

Gisteren ben ik nog druk in de weer geweest om een topnote doosje met minikaartjes te maken voor Gio's juffie van de creche. Zij is op 5 mei jarig. Vanmorgen heeft Gio het cadeautje vol trots aan zijn lievelings juf gegeven en ze vond het erg schattig. Ik hoop dat jullie het ook leuk vinden.
Het topnote doosje heb ik gemaakt naar aanleiding van een lesje van Krista. (Het patroontje is evt. bij Krista op te vragen per email!)
Hierbij heb ik zelf, door even te meten, wat kaartjes gemaakt.

*** I've been pretty busy yesterday making this topnote box with minicards for Gio's teachter at the daycare centre. She has her birthday on May 5th. This morning Gio proudly gave his present to his favorite teachter. She loved it. I hope you'll like it too.
I made the topnote box according to Krista's tutorial. (If you'd like the tutorial you can ask Krista by email).
I thought it was cute to make a set of cards in it.

Lesje 3 luik kaartje *** Tutorial 3 way card

Hier is het beloofde lesje voor het 3 luik kaartje dat ik al 2 keer eerder heb gemaakt.
De eerste was een kerstkaart en de ander was een verjaardagskaart. Je kunt er dus alle kanten mee op.
Laten we beginnen...
*** Here's the promised tutorial to make a 3 way card (don't know the proper English word for it!) I made 2 times before. The first one was a Christmascard and the other one was a birthdaycard. You can use it for all sort of cards. Here we go...

Wat heb je nodig?
* een stuk cardstock(kaartkarton) van 27,2 x 7 cm (bij mij roze)
* een stuk cardstock van 6,5 x 6 cm (bij mij wit)
* een stuk cardstock van 6,5 x 4,5 cm (bij mij oranje)
* een stukje design papier van 4,5 x 4 cm (bij mij de bloemetjes)
* een stukje design papier van 9,8 x 6,5 cm (bij mij gestreept)
* een stukje design papier van 6,5 x 6 cm (bij mij de bloemetjes)
* ronde hoekpons
* randpons (naar eigen keuze)
* dubbelzijdig plakband
* stempels en materiaal naar keuze om het kaartje af te pimpen.
(De maten zijn een beetje raar, maar ach..ik ben ook een beetje vreemd..whahaha)

*** What do you need?
* a piece of cardstock 27,2 x 7 cm (pink)
* a piece of cardstock 6,5 x 6 cm (white)
* a piece of cardstock 6,5 x 4,5 cm (oranje)
* a piece designer series paper 4,5 x 4 cm (flowers)
* a piece designer series paper 9,8 x 6,5 cm (stripes)
* a piece designer series paper 6,5 x 6 cm (flowers)
* corner rounder punch
* border punch of your choice
* sticky tape
* stamps and materials of your choise to pimp the card.
(The measurements are a bit odd, but hey guess I am a bit weird! Sorry they are in cms.)

Score je stuk cardstock van 27,2 x 7 cm (je basiskaart) op 6,5 en 16,9 cm.
Nu ga je alle hoeken afronden met de ronde hoekpons. Vergeet niet om je flapjes naar binnen te vouwen, zodat je ook die hoekjes kunt ponsen.
Deze stap moet je niet vergeten, anders wordt je kaart te dik om de hoekjes nog te ponsen. (Je begrijpt het al... de ervaring spreekt!).
Pons de rand van het stukje cardstock van 6,5 x 6 cm met een randpons (wit op mijn kaart).
Plak hierop het stukje cardstock van 6,5 x 4,5 cm (oranje op mijn kaart).
Plak hierop vervolgens het stukje design papier van 4 x 4,5 cm aan de rechterkant.
Plak het geheel op het korte stuk van je basiskaart. Het geheel ziet er nu zo uit:
*** Score the cardstock of 27,2 x 7 cm (basecard) at 6,5 and 16,9 cm.
Punch all corners with your corner rounder punch. Don't forget to fold the card so you can do all corners. Make sure you don't forget this step, otherwise your card will be to thick to punch the corners. (Yes, the experience is talking!).
Punch the border of the piece of cardstock 6,5 x 6 cm with a border punch of your choice (white cardstock on my card).
On this you put the piece of cardstock 6,5 x 4,5 cm (orange on my card) with sticky tape.
Now put the piece of designer paper 4 x 4,5 cm on the right of the orange piece.
You can place this on the right (smaller) piece of your base card with sticky tape.
It will look like this:

Plaats nu het stukje design papier van 9,8 x 6,5 cm (eerst hoekjes afronden met pons!) op je basiskaart aan de linker (lange) kant. De kaart ziet er nu zo uit:
*** Now place the piece of designer paper 9,8 x 6,5 cm (first make sure you rounded the corners with your punch!) on the left (long) side of your basecard.
Your card will now look like this:

En als je de kaart naar binnen vouwt ziet hij er zo uit:
*** And when you fold your card it will look like this:

Nu nog het stukje design papier van 6,5 x 6 cm (ook weer eerst de hoekjes afronden met je pons) aan de korte binnenkant plakken en dan is de basis klaar om te pimpen!
Hieronder zie je nog 2 foto's hoe de kaart er in dit stadium uit ziet.
*** All you have to do now is place the designer paper 6,5 x 6 cm (also first make sure you used your corner rounder punch on the corners) on the short inside of the card and the base is ready to pimp! Underneath you see 2 photos how the card looks at this stage.

Ik heb de vlindertjes en de bloemetjes bewerkt met iridescent ice embossing poeder, zodat ze lekker glitteren.
*** I used iridescent ice embossing on the butterflies and the flowers, so they are glittering away.
