Volgens mij zit ik nu in een blauwe fase na al dat roze....dit is de eerste, er komen er van de week nog een paar in blauw.

A year in cards - January

Tijdens het surfen op internet kwam ik toch iets leuks tegen, nl. a year in cards van Kristina Werner. 

Ik baalde gewoon dat ik dat destijds heb gemist! 

Maar ach, kan mij het schelen, ik ga het gewoon dit jaar doen. 

Wie doet er mee?

Mini buckle purse

Dit tasje met kerstkaarten heb ik vorige week gemaakt. Het heet een mini buckle purse. Het patroontje van S. Dailey is uit 2006. Een golden oldie dus! Dit tasje stond al langer op mijn verlanglijstje om eens te maken en nu met de donkere dagen voor kerst voor de deur dacht ik dat een kerstvariant wel leuk zou zijn.

De kaartjes heb ik vrij eenvoudig gehouden, omdat er meerdere in het tasje gaan (ongeveer 4 a 5 van 3x3 inch) en ik graag 1 stijl in het tasje wilde doen.

I had this on my wishlist to make for a long time. But now with the dark days before Christmas ahead I thought I would do one in Christmas style.

The cards I kept clean and simple. Especially since I wanted to make several in one style. The purse holds about 4 to 5 3x3 inch cards.

Camping cards for Christmas

Hoi hoi,

Wat had ik een geluk dat er plek over was om wat knutselspullen mee te nemen op vakantie.

Dat doe ik anders nooit als we gaan kamperen.

Maar we bleven dit jaar in Nederland en gezien het wisselvallige weer, dacht ik dat het wel handig zou zijn om wat om handen te hebben als het slecht weer werd.

Uiteindelijk heb ik inderdaad een paar kaartjes gemaakt. De meeste zijn toch kerstkaarten geworden op de 1 of andere manier. Kennelijk riep het weer een kerstgevoel in me op.

Ik had wat kerstpapier van Jilly Bean Soup meegenomen. Dat vind ik echt supergaaf papier om kerstkaarten mee te maken. Op de 1 of andere manier zit ik helemaal in een Kraft fase. Dit papier is aan 1 kant kraft en aan de andere kant bedrukt met een print. Heel handig!

It was fortunate I had some room to take along some of my crafting gear on vacation.

Normally I won't take my stuff along when we go camping.

But since we stayed in The Netherlands this year I thought it would come in handy, since you never know what the Dutch weather is like.

Indeed I made some cards. Most of them are with a Christmas theme.

I guess the weather made me feel like Christmas.

I'm totally into kraft these days and I happen to have taken along some of Jilly Beans Christmas paper. It's printed on one side and just plain kraft on the other. Love it!

Dino birthday

 

Pas geleden zag ik een kaartje op het blog van Christa waardoor ik geinspireerd werd.
Ik vind de stijl van Christa erg gaaf! Ze maakt combinaties waar ik niet aan zou denken en dat vind ik erg leuk, dat inspireert.
Het was ook tijd om weer eens wat restjes te verwerken. En ik heb een oud stempelsetje met dino's erbij gepakt. Uiteindelijk is het een fris kinderverjaardagskaartje geworden. Ik hoop dat jullie 'm leuk vinden!

*** The other day I saw a card on Christa's blog which inspired me. I love Christa's style! She combines things in a way I wouldn't think off. I really like it. That inspires.
Also it was time to use up some scraps.
I dusted off an old dino stampset (TAC) to work with.
Eventually this turned out into a fresh childrens birthdaycard. Hope you like it!

Hugs and kisses

Een poosje geleden heb ik dit kaartje gemaakt. Deze had ik nog niet op mijn blog gezet. Het is weer een transparante. Ik ben er gek op!
Deze keer heb ik mijn roosjes embossingfolder gebruikt in combinatie met de mini roosjes van Baby blossoms. De roosjes en blaadjes heb ik met de hand uit zitten knippen. Wat een werk!

*** About a week ago I made this card. I just remembered I haven't uploaded this one yet. It's a clear card again. I love clear cards!
This time I uses my roses embossingfolder and combined this with the mini roses of Baby blossoms. The roses and leaves are cut out by hand. It's a job!

Waltzing Mouse 20

 

 

Waltzing Mouse heeft deze week weer een leuke sketch! Ik heb er dit kaartje mee gemaakt. Ik had mijn swiss dots embossingsmalletje nog op mijn bureau liggen, dus die heb ik nog maar eens gebruikt. Het blijft 1 van mijn favorieten.
Barbara, ik zal eens kijken of ik het inkten uit kan leggen, maar met foto's is het wat lastig ben ik bang. Helaas kan ik geen filmpjes maken. Mijn webcam zit ingebouwd. Bovendien heb ik er geen idee van hoe dat werkt. Misschien moet ik me er eens in verdiepen.
Verder heb ik ook nog een verzoekje gekregen of ik uit wil leggen hoe ik die vlindertjes van laatst heb gemaakt. Dat zit ook nog in de pen. Heb helaas op dit moment iets minder tijd. Maar met een beetje geduld komt het eraan.

*** Waltzing Mouse has a great sketch this week! I made this card with this sketch. The swiss dots embossingfolder was still on my desk, so I decided to use it once more. It's one of my favorites!
Barbara, I'm going tot try to explain how I inked the edges soon. It's a bit difficult to explain with photo's, but I'll give it a try. Unfortunately I don't know how to make video's. My webcam is build in my notebook and I haven't got a clue how this works.
I got another request to explain how I made the transparent butterflies I used recently. I will make a little tutorial of this as well. Unfortunately I have not much time at this moment. So please have a little patience.

Hebben jullie dat nou ook? Ik kan zo moeilijk afstand doen van mooie papiertjes! Al is het een ieniemienie stukje. Dat is weleens lastig, want dan wordt het al snel een zooitje op mijn knutseltafel. (Was het ooit netjes dan?? *LOL*)
Met deze kaart heb ik wat restjes gerecycled van de kaarten die ik van de week heb laten zien, zodat ik ze niet weg hoefde te gooien. Goede oplossing toch?!

*** I cannot get it over my heart to through beautiful papers away! Do you feel this way too? Even if it's the teeny tiniest piece. That's hard sometimes, because most times my crafttable gets a real big mess! I recycled some of the scraps of the cards I made lately into this card, so I wouldn't have to through them away. Great solution right?!

Christmas is around the corner

 

 

De zomervakantie is voorbij, dus weer tijd om aan de kerstkaarten te beginnen. Het goede voornemen om het hele jaar kerstkaarten te gaan maken is helaas niet gelukt. Na de kerstperiode was ik het wel weer even zat om kerstkaarten te maken. Maar dit jaar ben ik er op tijd bij. Normaal is dit zo'n last-minute stressklus, maar nu heb ik mijn 1e kerstkaart al gemaakt! Een aantal kerststempels had ik even uitgeleend, dus heb ik de Hero Arts uiltjes maar weer eens afgestoft. Die blijven toch ook zooo leuk! Krista had laatst ook al zo'n leuk kaartje hiermee gemaakt. Zij heeft mij de inspiratie gegeven voor dit kaartje. Ik hoop dat jullie 'm leuk vinden!

*** Summervacation is over. Time to make Christmascards. I was planning on making Christmascards all year, but after Christmas I was more in the mood for other cards. But this year I'm right on time with my very first Christmascard. Other years this is a last-minute stress job, but now I already made my first Christmascard!
I borrowed some of my Christmasstamps to one of my friends, so I dusted off the Hero Arts owls. These are just so cute! The other day Krista made a card with them also. She inspired me for this card. I hope you'll like it!

Deze kaart heb ik voor de verjaardag van tante Nel gemaakt. Zij is gek op uilen en kantjes, vandaar een uilkaartje met een verwerkt kantje. Ik heb meteen ff mijn nieuwe pons en cuttlebugfolder uitgeprobeerd. Wat heerlijk om met nieuwe spullies te spelen!
