Golden Oldies 2 - sketch 108 Card Patterns

Voor mijn 2e Golden Oldies creatie heb ik gekozen voor design papier dat ik al heeeeeel lang niet heb gebruikt. Ook de beide stempels heb ik alweer een hele poos niet gebruikt. Al is de set Mixed Bouquet (roos van de 2e kaart) absoluut 1 van mijn favorieten!!
Deze week is er een super leuke sketch bij Card Patterns! (Je kan nog meedoen tot 1 april a.s.) Deze heb ik voor beide kaartjes gebruikt. Wat leuk dat je met 1 sketch dmv andere materialen een hele andere sfeer kan krijgen.

*** For my 2nd Golden Oldies creation I chose DSP I haven't used for way too long. Also both stamps have been workless lately. Although Mixed Bouquet (rose 2nd card) is absolutely one of my favorites!!
This week they have a super fun sketch at Card Patterns! (Entry till April 1st)
I used this sketch for both cards. It's so much fun you can create a totally different card by using different materials.

Dag van de leraar - Teacher appreciationday

Binnenkort is het de dag van de leraar. Roel kreeg 4 harten mee naar huis om daar iets van te maken. Nu is hij in tegenstelling tot zijn moeder niet zo creatief. Dus liet hij dat GRAAG aan zijn moeder over. Ik was zo lekker bezig met dat mercidoosje voor Carol, dat ik er niet lang over na hoefde te denken om onder die hartjes ook van die doosjes te maken. Ik had de set Mixed Bouquet ook nog op mijn bureau liggen, dus die heb ik maar weer gepakt. Ik had de plaidstempel van Darkroom door (hij is en blijft leuk!) ook op mijn bureau liggen, omdat iemand die wilde lenen, dus die heb ik ook maar meteen even gebruikt. En dit is het resultaat. Ik hoop dat de juffen het kunnen waarderen.

*** Soon it's teacher's appreciationday here in The Netherlands. Roel came home with 4 hearts of which he had to make something nice. Instead of his mother he's not that creative, so he asked me to make something. I was just in the middle of the mercibox I made for Carol. So it took me just one second to think I could make these boxes underneath the hearts Roel got. I had the Mixed Bouquet still on my desk, so I used that again. Also the plaid backgroundstamp from Darkroom door (I like it!!) was on my desk, because someone wanted to borrow it from me, so I used that one as well. This is the result. I hope the teachers will like it.

Happy Birthday Carol

Vandaag is Carol jarig. Laatst heb ik al de kaart met de gele roos laten zien die ik voor haar gemaakt heb, omdat ze zo van gele rozen houdt. Ik heb besloten er ook nog een aardigheidje bij te maken. Dit kleine mercidoosje heb ik gemaakt.
Er passen 5 mercietjes in. Geinig toch? Het idee voor dit doosje komt van Elly! Van haar mocht ik zo'n doosje ontvangen. Ik vond het zo leuk dat ik het zelf ook eens wilde maken.

**** Today it's Carols birthday. Recently I showed the yellow rose card I made for her since she loves yellow roses so much.
I decided to make a little gift to send with the card. I made this little mercibox. 5 Merci chocolats will fit in this.
The idea for this box comes from Elly! She sent me a box the other day. I liked it so much I just had to make my own.

Birthday roses - Stamping 411 - 168

 

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt met de sketch van Stamping 411 - 168. Wat een leuke sketch weer!
Als kleur heb ik gekozen voor daffodil delight, omdat mijn nicht Carol van de week een gele herfstroos op haar facebook liet zien. Dit inspireerde mij om eens geel te gebruiken. Normaal vind ik dat namelijk nogal een moeilijke kleur!
Laatst stuurde Krisa mij een leuke kaart met de set Mixed Bouquet. Deze heb ik min of meer gelift en er een twist aan gegeven. Mixed Bouquet is 1 van mijn oude vertrouwde favoriete setjes. Heb jij ook zo'n favoriete set?
Wat vinden jullie ervan? Is het een beetje gelukt om er wat fatsoenlijks van te bakken?

I chose daffodil delight as color, because my cousin Carol showed a yellow autumnrose the other day on her facebook. This inspired me to use yellow for a change. I think yellow is a hard color to use!
I cased a card I got from Krista a few weeks ago. She inspired me to use the Mixed Bouquet set once more. It's my old time favorit set. Do you have an old time favorite set?

DCBD Big Shot challenge #130

 

 

Dit is mijn bijdrage voor de DCBD Big Shot challenge #130. Ik heb het gemaakt van een leftover van de topnote die, die ik voor mijn bijdrage aan de vorige challenge van DCBD gebruikte. Ik vond het zonde om dit weg te gooien, want ook hier kun je nog wel wat leuks mee doen. Ik heb de rand van het restje van de gestanste topnote die overal even breed afgesneden en er het mooie Bella Rose papier achter geplakt. Daarna heb ik de rozen van mijn alltime favorite SU set Mixed Bouquet gepakt en dit op een ander stuk Bella Rose papier gestempeld. De rozen uitgeknipt en langs de rand geplakt, waarbij ik de middelste met foamtape heb geplakt, zodat deze iets omhoog komt. Ook wilde ik graag een tekstje gebruiken. Het is de note of love geworden. Deze heb ik uitgeponsd en op een geponsd stukje design papier (ook weer van de Bella Rose serie) geplakt. Hierop glimmertjes geplakt en zo heb ik een eenvoudig kaartje gemaakt, maar ik ben er zelf wel tevreden over. En ik hoop dat jullie 'm ook weer leuk vinden.

*** This is my contribution for this weeks Big Shot challenge on DCBD. I've made this with the leftover from the topnote die I used for my contribution for last weeks challenge. I thought it was a shame to waste it, because I could make something nice with it. I've cut the edges of the leftover topnote die evenly and glued it on a nice piece of Bella Rose paper. Then I stamped the roses from my alltime favorite SU! set Mixed Bouquet on another piece of Bella Rose paper and cut them out. I glued them to the side and the middle one I lifted a little with foamtape. Also I wanted to use a sentiment. I used the Note of Love this time. I punched it out and glued it on a punched piece of Bella Rose paper. I used some sticky diamonds to decorate. This is how I made this simple but elegant card. I am pretty pleased with the result and I hope you'll like it too!
