Door omstandigheden loop ik wat achter met mijn blogschema.
Ik had jullie beloofd nog alles te vertellen over Awardnight, dus hier gaat ie...
(Stiekem probeer ik ook wat langer na te genieten)
*** Due to circumstances I am a bit behind in my bloggingschedule.
I promised to tell you all about Awardnight, so here it goes...
(Secretly I am trying to extent the enjoyment of this trip)
Nadat de pizza toch wat lang op zich liet wachten en er super snel omgekleed moest worden, waren we gelukkig toch op tijd gearriveerd voor Award Night.
En wat was het spannend allemaal!
Van te voren was gezegd dat ik het podium op zou moeten, dus ik zat daar wel met de nodige zweethandjes.
*** Our pizza wasn't quite as quickly ready as we thought, so we had to change in a hurry and luckily we were still in time for Award Night.
It was soooo exciting!
I knew on beforehand I was to be called on stage, so I was sitting there miss Sweaty Hands.
Normaal gesproken hou ik er helemaal niet zo van om in de spotlight te staan, dus er moest wel wat overwonnen worden. Ik was doodnerveus!
*** I am not the kind of person that likes to be in the spotlight, so I had to overcome my embarressment.
I was so nerveous!
En toen...hoorde ik opeens mijn naam om te verschijnen op het podium.
Voordat ik het trapje op mocht kreeg ik eerst nog een prachtige corsage om.
Leuke anekdote is dat ik dacht dat dit een neproos was, dus nadat ik het podium af was moest ik er even aan voelen en wat denk je....hij was ECHT! Lekker blond momentje...
Die corsage heeft het bij Caro dus niet echt heel lang overleefd helaas.
Maar gelukkig kan ik er altijd nog met de blossom pons nog een leuke bloem op maken.
*** And then...they were calling my name to appear on stage.
Before I could enter the stage a beautiful corsage was given to me.
And I have a little story about this corsage. I thought it wasn't a real flower, so when I left the stage I had to feel the flower and guess what....it was REAL! Kind of a blonde moment...
Poor corsage didn't survived very long with Caro unfortunately.
But luckily I can always make a nice flower with the blossom punch on top.
Het eerste podiummomentje met Miranda Mols en Carmen Sahadat-Morris.
We vonden het alledrie spannend!! Ik stond helemaal te shaken al lijk ik nu op de foto toch redelijk relaxed, maar niets was minder waar.
*** The first time to enter the stage with Miranda Mols and Carmen Sahadat-Morris.
We were so excited the three of us! I was literally shaking, eventhough I look quite relaxed at this photo, but nothing is what it seems.

Ik vind het super leuk dat ik ook een foto heb waar ik samen met Erna op het podium sta.

Om de spanning wat te breken even een geintje maken met Miranda Mols.

En na een poosje zou je bijna denken dat het went en ga je zelfs met pompons zwaaien!
Moet toch niet gekker worden!!
*** After a few times you're almost loving it so much you're going to wave with pink pompons!
So silly, right?!
En toen maakten ze het nog een beetje spannender bij Stampin' Up!, want we moesten ook onze naam in een microfoon zeggen. Brrrrr, knikkende knietjes hoor! Maar gelukkig was Michelle Last er om me te steunen.
*** At Stampin' Up! they like to build up the pressure and they made us pronounce our names into the microphone. Brrrrrrr, knotting knees! Luckily Michelle Last was there for my support.
Na alle officiële ceremonies was het tijd voor een feestje! En daar hadden Erna en ik best zin in.
*** After all official ceremonies it was time to party! Erna and I were into a little celebration.
Ook nog even een kiekje met Eveline en Annemarie erbij. Het was zo gezellig!

En natuurlijk nog even dollen met Damir en Axel van het hoofdkantoor in Duitsland.
Damir is het aanspreekpunt voor alle Nederlandse demonstratrices bij Stampin' Up! en Axel is de man die al die leuke acties iedere keer in goede banen leid.

Damir is the contact for the Dutch demonstrators at Stampin' Up! and Axel is in charge of all the nice promotions Stampin' Up! has time and time again.
Damir en ik proberen onze beste James Bond pose. Ik weet alleen niet of het nu zo goed gelukt is.
*** Damir and I are trying our best James Bond pose, but I am not so sure we did well.
Daarna hebben we nog een poosje heerlijk gedanst op de noten van een leuke band.
's Avonds een vrouw, 's Ochtends een vrouw dachten ze bij Stampin' Up!, want het was alweer vroeg dag de volgende ochtend.
*** We danced the night away on the notes of a cool band.
A lady at night, a lady in the morning. I guess that's what they were thinking at Stampin' Up!, because we had to be present again pretty early the next morning.
Deze ochtend heeft mijn lieve upline Michelle Last een presentatie gegeven met zakelijk tips and tricks.
Ik ben echt zoooo trots op haar! Ze is echt een inspiratie, niet alleen op creatief gebied, maar ook zakelijk gebied en vooral ook op persoonlijk gebied.
*** My darling upline Michelle last was one of the presenters this morning. She did a presentation Meet New People, Find New Faces.
I am so incredibly proud of her! She's a real inspiration, not only creatively, but also business wise and most of all personally.
's Middags mocht mede Pinkie Chantal een WOW make and take presenteren.
En dat ging haar heel goed af!
Ze deed dat toch maar mooi even voor een zaal met zo'n 1000 demonstratrices bij elkaar.
Ik heb hier een filmpje van gemaakt.
Nu heb ik een nieuwe videocamera en ben ik nog niet zo thuis in het maken van filmpjes en vooral ook het uploaden ervan. Het is me helaas nog niet gelukt om de video van mijn camera op mijn computer te krijgen.
Hier ga ik in de kerstvakantie op mijn gemak eens even naar kijken.
En dan heb ik ook nog een filmpje van al mijn swaps, want ook die video staat nog op mijn camera.
Nog even geduld dus...
*** In the afternoon our Pinkie Chantal was asked to present a WOW make and take.
She did so well! I would be so nervous for a group of about 1000 demonstrators, but Chantal was a natural talent.
I made a video of her presentation.
The thing is I have a new camera and I am kind of new in the land of video, so I haven't been able to transfer the video's I shot to my computer yet.
When I have Christmas break I will take the time and figure it out.
You'll have to be patient with me on this one.
Natuurlijk hebben de Dutch Pinkies Michelle en Chantal wel even aangemoedigd!!
We hebben toch zo'n lol gehad.
*** Ofcourse the Dutch Pinkies cheered to Michelle and Chantal when they entered the stage!!
We have had so much fun together.
We hadden zelfs speciaal 't shirts laten maken en daarbij bijpassende sjaals gekocht.
*** We even had special 't shirts made and matching scarfs.

En dan heb ik voor jullie nog wat kerstinspiratie gespot op de moodboards in de gang.

Op de laatste dag moest er nog wel even een foto gemaakt worden met alle Pink Ladies/Lads, nou ja alle...
Het was een beetje chaotisch en last-minute, dus helaas staat niet iedereen erop, maar dat maakt Chris van demonstrator support ruimshoots goed.
*** At the last day we had to take a photo with all Pink Ladies/Lads, well...not all...
It was a bit of a last minute decision, so unfortunately not alle attended Pinkies are on it, but Chris from demonstrator support is a good substitute.
En toen moesten we afscheid nemen van een heerlijk Convention weekend en van 2 lovely ladies in blue, the always smiling Bonnie Thurber en the lovely Pam Morgan.
Nu maar hopen dat zij er in Brussel ook weer bij zijn!
Ik weet zeker dat Bonnie het geweldig zal vinden in de hoofdstad van chocolade!!
Hopelijk kan ze Pam overtuigen dat ze niet gemist kunnen worden, waar dan ook nog eens geen woord van gelogen is, want wat zijn dit 2 fantastische Stampin' Up! ladies.
*** And then it was time to say goodbye to a wonderful Convention weekend and to 2 lovely ladies in blue, the always smiling Bonnie Thurber and the lovely Pam Morgan.
It was a real pleasure to meet you!
Hopefully Bonnie en Pam are coming next year to Brussels as well!
I am sure Bonnie would love it in the capital of Chocolate!!
Hopefully she can pursuade Pam they cannot be missed, and that's no lie, because these are 2 fantastic Stampin' Up! ladies.
Wij waren zo'n beetje de laatsten die de deur dicht deden bij het Manchester Central Convention Centre.
Wat een ervaring en wat mooi weekend! Wat dit alles voor mij zo speciaal maakt is het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen door gemeenschappelijke interesse waarbij nieuwe vriendschappen ontstaan. Echt mooi!

What an experience and what a great weekend!
Meeting people and becoming friends through mutual interest is such a wonderful gift!
Als afsluiting van een ongelooflijk gezellig weekend zijn we nog even met z'n allen uit gaan eten.
Het viel nog niet mee om een behoorlijk restaurant te vinden waar we met 14 vrouwen aan tafel konden, maar het is gelukt! En er was nog ruim keuze uit de wereldkeuken ook.
Al vond ik het toetjes buffet eigenlijk stiekem het lekkerst!
*** To celebrate this incredible weekend we went out for dinner with 14 people of our group.
It wasn't easy to find a restauranti in busy Manchester to fit us all 14 at one table, but we did it!
There was a big choice of worldfood.
But to be honest I liked the dessert buffet the best!
En toen was het tijd om weer op huis aan te gaan.
Hè jammer zeg! Maar niet zonder eerst nog even een bakje koffie/thee.
En nee, we hebben niet weer het vliegtuig gemist, al had het voor sommigen van ons geen haartje gescheelt.
Toch Maaike?!
Gelukkig is alles goed gekomen en zijn we weer veilig thuis.
Meiden, onwijs bedankt voor de gezelligheid en jullie enthousiasme!
Ik heb echt genoten.
*** Time flies when you're having fun. Time to go home again.
So sad! But we couldn't leave without a last coffee/tea.
And no, we didn't miss the plane again this time, although it was a challenge again for some of us.
Right Maaike?!
Fortunately all ended well and we got home safe and sound.
Girls, thank you so much for your happiness and your enthousiasm!
I really enjoyed it.
