Stamping & Blogging - Christmas Cards

Goedemiddag!

Misschien herken je het, maar ik ben dus het type last minute creatief, dus moest ik gisteravond en vanmorgen nog aan de bak om de Sketch van Stamping and Blogging te maken. Oopsie!

Ik had gisteravond de bovenstaande kaart gemaakt, maar eigenlijk had ik iets heel anders in gedachten, dus dat moest er vanochtend ook nog even uitkomen. En ik hoop dat het een beetje meevalt wat eruit is gekomen, want je moet weten dat ik totaal geen ochtend mens ben! Meestal ben ik 's avonds lekker bezig aan mijn projecten.

Maar goed, gisteravond heb ik de bovenstaande kaart met het rendier gemaakt. Hiervoor heb ik voor het eerst met mijn blendabilities gekleurd. Het was een uitdaging, want ik ben nu niet echt van het kleuren, maar hey zelfs ik kan het! WOW, het was leuk om er een beetje mee te spelen.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de sketch omgedaaid. Maar dat is het leuke van schetsen, je kunt ze naar je eigen idee gebruiken. Ze zijn er als houvast voor je, maar het is leuk om je eigen idee erop los te laten. Ik heb zelfs de banner veranderd in een strikje.

Terwijl ik lekker aan het spelen was besloot ik om er een shakerkaart van te maken voor wat extra gezelligheid.

De snippertjes die ik erin heb gedaan zijn geknipt uit wat Silver glimmer paper met de Fringe Sciccors schaar.

Voor deze kaart heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de stempelsets: Point & Click (Project Life), White Christams (rendier en open sterretje), Sentimenten (het nederlandse tekstje).

Ook heb ik leuk gespeeld met de Lucky Stars embossing folder en de dotted scallop ribbon border pons.

Aangezien de kaart nog een beetje te wit was naar mijn smaak heb ik alle randjes gesponds met wat Crumb Cake inkt.

I am kind of a last minute crafter, so I had to make this weeks cards last night and this morning.

I liked the one I made last night, but I had something totally different in mind, so I couldn't resist myself in making another one. If something is in my head it simply has to come out. And hopefully it will come out right when it does. This time I was quite satisfied since I made the card below this morning and you have to know I am just not a morning person at all! My crafting is mostly done in the evenings.

Well anyway, last night I made the card above with the reindeer. I used my blendabilities for the very first time to color the deer. It was a challenge since I am not the coloring kind of girl, but hey even I could do it! WOW, it was fun playing around. 

For this card I flipped the sketch around to the other side. But that's what sketches are for, just to guide you and do your own thing with it. I even changed the banner to a little bow.

And while I was playing I had so much fun I decided to make a shaker card of it.

I snipped some pieces of Silver glimmer paper with my fringe scissors to put inside.

For this card I used the stampsets Point & Click (Project life), White Christmas (deer and little open star), Sentimenten (Dutch Teeny Tiny Sentiments - the sentiment says Merry Christmas in Dutch).

I also had fun using the Lucky Stars embossing folder and the .

Since the card was a bit too white to my taste I spunged all the edges in Crumb Cake.

Oke tijd voor kaart 2; weet je, ik ben gek op sterren! De ster framelits waren dan ook 1 van de eerste dingen die ik uit de Jaarlijkse catalogus heb aangeschaft. De basis van deze kaart is gemaakt met de grootste ster framelit. Met de bijpassende prikmal uit het Eclectic Paper Piercing Pack heb ik een rand geprikt. Het is toch zo fijn wanneer je producten zo goed met elkaar coördineren! Kijk eens hoe leuk de Lucky Stars embossing folder hier ook weer bij past. Deze keer heb ik de debossed zijde gekozen voor een leuk effect. En wat denk je van deze ochtend kaart? Valt het mee? 

*** Onto card nr. 2; You got to know I just love stars! So the star framelits where one of the first products I purchased out of the new Annual Catalogue. The base card is made with the largest one. I did some paper piercing around the edge with the stars paper piecing template out of the matching Eclectic Paper Piercing Pack. It´s so much more fun when your products coördinate so well. Look how lovely the Lucky Stars embossing folder matches with this too. This time I choose the debossed side for some fun effect.

Tagkaart - Stamping and Blogging 68

Voor de Stamping and Blogging sketch van deze week had ik meteen het idee om een tag op de kaart te maken.

Het bovenste gedeelte is een tag die bij de hamburgerbox mal zit.

Deze heb ik verlengd door er een stuk crumb cake cardstock aan te maken geëmbosst met de Large Dots embossing folder. 

De hoekjes heb ik afgerond met de Project Life corner punch.

Deze geeft net iets grotere hoekjes dan de gewone Stampin' Up! corner punch.

Met silver glimmer paper heb ik een leuk tussenrandje gemaakt door dit uit te ponsen met de Dotted scallop ribbon border pons.

Dit stukje maakt het ook makkelijk om het onderste en het bovenste gedeelte van deze tag met elkaar te verbinden.

Verder heb ik de kaart heel eenvoudig gehouden.

De achtergrond heb ik gemaskeerd en daarna de Dictionary stempel in Crumb Cake erop gezet, nadat ik deze eerst een keer op een kladje heb gestempeld. Off-stamping heet deze techniek.

*** For this week's sketch of Stamping and Blogging I immediately knew I wanted to make a tag on this card.

The upper part is a tag that's a part of the hamburgerbox die. 

I enlarged this with a piece of embossed crumb cake cardstock (embossed with the Large Dots embossingfolder).

The corners are rounded with the Project Life corner punch.

This punch gives slidely bigger rounded corners then the regular Stampin' Up! corner punch.

With silver glimmer paper I made a in between border by punching a strip out with the Dotted scallop ribbon border punch.

This little strip makes it easier to connect the upper and the lower part with each other.

I kept the card pretty simple.

The background was masked and stamped with the Dictionary stamp in crumb cake. Before I stamped I first stamped off on a piece of scrap. The stamp off technique.

Ook deze keer weer de binnenkant meegenomen en wat opgeleukt.

Hierbij heb ik weer de Dictionary stempel als achtergrond gebruikt.

Ik vond het zonde om het rode hartje dat uit de tag van de voorkant overbleef weg te gooien, dus deze heb ik als versiering voor de binnenkant gebruikt. Ik heb er een extra rondje uitgeponst, om er net nog even een extra detail aan te geven.

Helaas niet geheel op geponst op de plek die ik graag wilde, maar hey een peanut die erop let!

*** This time I dressed up the inside again.

I used the Dictionary stamp on the background.

It was such a shame to through away the little red heart which was a leftover from the tag I used on the front, so I decided to use this as the embellishment on the inside.

To give it some more detail I punched out a little hole.

Unfortunately not in the place I really would have liked to, but hey a peanut who would have noticed!

Summer Sihouettes condoleance kaart

Vandaag hebben we afscheid genomen van ome Doc. 

Voor mijn tante Nel wilde ik een hele speciale condoleance kaart maken. Persoonlijk vind ik het altijd heel moeilijk om condoleance kaarten te maken.

Daarom had ik wat inspiratie gezocht op Pinterest. Daar zag ik een mooie kaart met de set Summer Silhouettes, welke ik als basis voor deze kaart heb gebruikt. Daarnaast heb ik gekeken naar de kleuren die op de rouwkaart waren gebruikt en deze heb ik terug laten komen op mijn kaart.

*** Today we had to say farewell to Uncle Doc. 

For my Aunt Nel I wanted to make a really special sympathy card. 

Mostly I struggle with sympathy cards.

That's why I searched on Pinterest for some inspiration and found a beautiful card with Summer Silhouettes stamps, which I used as a base of this card. Ialso was inspired by the colors of the mourning annaouncement card and used the same on my card.

Deze keer heb ik ook de binnenkant mooi gemaakt. Eigenlijk zou ik dat bij alle kaarten moeten gaan introduceren, want het geeft wel net een iets extra's vind ik.

Ook de enveloppen heb ik bestempeld, zodat het een mooi setje is geworden.

*** This time I stamped the inside of my card as well. This is something I should do more often. It gives just that bit extra.

The envelopes were stamped to fit as well.

Omdat ik lekker bezig was met stempelen en ik het wel handig vond om een condoleance kaart op voorraad te hebben, heb ik er meteen nog eentje gemaakt, maar dan in een wat eenvoudigere versie, want die van tante Nel moest wel speciaal blijven.

De geprikte rand heb ik net even anders gedaan dan normaal. Ik heb nl. van binnen naar buiten geprikt in plaats van van buiten naar binnen. Dit geeft net weer even een heel ander effect aan je prikrand.

Het is ook leuk om deze rand dan met inkt te sponsen, zodat de priksels eruit springen. Dat heb ik in dit geval niet gedaan. Ik vond de kaart zo eigenlijk al mooi genoeg.

*** Because I was in a stampin' flow and because it's always handy to have a sympathy card ready, I made another one. A more simple version, because Aunt Nel's card had to be extra special.

I used the paper piercing tool just the other way around this time. This give a nice different effect. It's also very nice to spunge this with some ink, which I didn't do on this particular card. I liked the card just the way it is.

Het was een bewogen dagje vandaag met een waardig afscheid van een bijzondere man.

Voor deze gelegenheid wilde ik jullie graag een leuk projectje laten zien, dat ik heb gemaakt voor een verjaardagsfeestje van een vriendje van Gio. Dit jongentje wilde graag een cadeaubon van Intertoys, maar dat vind ik voor die kleintjes nooit zo leuk geven. Daarom heb ik er nog snel een leuk cadeaukaartmapje omheen gemaakt in de kleuren Gumball Green, Night of Navy en Smokey Slate. Echt een stoere jongens combinatie.

*** For this occassion I wanted to showcase a nice project, which I made for a birthdayparty of my son Gio´s friend. This little boy wanted a giftcard from one of the toyshops in the neighbourhood. I don´t like the wrapping that comes along with these cards. So I made a fun and quick giftcard holder in Gumball Green, Night of Navy and Smokey Slate. Love these colors together for boycards.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik ook lekker met sterren gestrooid, zodat het echt een feestelijk geheel wordt.

Het gleufje om de kaart in te houden, heb ik gemaakt met de word window pons. Deze heb ik ook gebruikt om de sentimenten mee uit te ponsen. Deze pons past echt super bij de Sentimenten set!

*** On the inside I have stampes a lot of stars so it became a really festive card. To hold the giftcard I punched a slot with the word window punch. This punch I used also to punch out the Sentiments. This punch is such a great combination with the Teeny Tiny Sentiments in Dutch or English eitherway!

Ter decoratie heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een swap dit ik tijdens de conventie in Mancher heb gekregen.

Helaas weet ik niet precies van wie deze swap was, want er staat geen naam op de achterkant.

Ik vond dit idee in ieder geval enig en heb het op deze cadeaukaart toegepast om het tekstje leuk te laten uitkomen.

*** As a decoration I used an idea I got from a swap I received in Manchester. 

Unfortunately I don´t know who gave me this swap, because there´s no name on the back of this card.

Anyway I loved this idea and I used this fun starry element on my giftcard holder to place my sentiment on.

Aan de binnenkant van de kaart heb ik deze decoratie herhaald om aan de cadeaukaart een felicitatie toe te voegen.

Van de week heb ik jullie een paar kaarten laten zien, die gemaakt zijn met de hardwood achtergrond stempel. Nu had ik nog wat restjes liggen van die kaarten. Zonde om weg te gooien!

Vandaar dat ik nog even aan het prutsen ben geweest en daar is dit kaartje uitgekomen.

Weer een beetje in dezelfde trant als de vorige kaartjes, maar het is ook zo leuk om met die houten achtergrond te spelen! Deze keer ook maar weer eens een vlindertje gebruikt, want dat was alweer veel te lang geleden. En zo zie je dat je met een paar restjes ook best nog een leuk kaartje in elkaar kunt flansen.

*** This week I showcased a few cards using the hardwood background stamp. I had some scraps left over and didn´t want to through them away, so I figured out I could make another card. This is what came out of these scraps.

This card is simular to the other cards I showd you, but it´s so much fun playing with the hardwood background stamp. This time I used a butterfly again, because I haven´t used a butterfly for way too long on my creations. Kind of got to miss it. And so you see you can make a pretty nice card with some scraps as well.

Dit doosje heb ik van een Duits blog nagemaakt. Natuurlijk heb ik er wel mijn eigen draai aan gegeven met de scallop tag topper punch.
Deze keer heb ik weer lekker gespeeld met de Hardwood achtergrondstempel, welke al bijna niet meer van mijn kaartjes weg te denken is...ik vind 'm toch zooo gaaf!
De bloemetjes uit de stempelset So very grateful zijn ook zo schattig. Deze heb ik ingekleurd met de Stampin' Up! markers en de blenderpen in de kleuren primrose petals, pear pizzaz en always artichoke.
Het kleuren met de markers is ook iedere keer weer een feestje!

*** I saw this box on a German blog and I cased the idea. Ofcourse I did it with my own twist and I used the scallop tag toppeer punch.
This time I have been having so much fun playing with the Hardwood background stamp, which obviously is appearing more and more on my cards....I really love this stamp!
The flowers from the stampset So very grateful are so adorable. I colored these with Stampin' Up! markers and a blenderpen in the colors primrose petals, pear pizzaz and always artichoke.
Coloring with the Stampin' Up! markers is a party every time!

Vandaag zag ik toch zo'n leuk kaartje op het blog van Cornelie!

Dat kaartje riep: "Case mij, case mij!"

Nou dat kun je dan toch niet weigeren toch?! 

En dit is dat kaartje van Cornelie:

Well I simply couldn't refuse to do so right away.

Te schattig toch?! 

Ik moest meteen aan de hardwood achtergrond stempel denken en het SAB papier en 1+1 was 2.

*** Too cute right?!

Right away the hardwood stamp came to mind and the SAB designer paper.

1+1 = 2...

En dit is mijn uitvoering geworden. Een klein beetje hetzelfde en toch een beetje anders.

Ik heb er een vriendschapskaartje van gemaakt. Dat vond ik wel mooi.

Voor het tekstje heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een stempel uit de Sentimenten van Stampin' Up!

Dat is toch zo'n verschrikkelijk handige set met tekstjes voor allerlei gelegenheden.

Ik gebruik 'm super graag!

I made it as a friendship card, which seemed nice to me.

The sentiment I used is the Dutch sentiment for {friend to friend}.

These sentiments are so very useful for many occassions.
