Oh happy day - Stamping and Blogging SB64

Er is weer een leuke sketch online bij Stamping and Blogging!
Deze keer is er een extra uitdaging bij, want het is de bedoeling om een mannenkaart met deze sketch te maken.
Nu vind ik mannenkaarten meestal wel lastig, maar de nieuwe In Color kleuren Mossy Maedow (legergroen) en Lost Lagoon (zeeblauw) maken het me al een stuk makkelijker.
In combinatie met de Starburst Sayings stempels en framelits heb je eigenlijk vrij snel toch een leuk resultaat.
Ik kon het weer niet laten om mijn Hardwood stempel als achtergrond te gebruiken. Deze keer gestempeld in Smokey Slate (licht grijs).
Verder heb ik ook gebruik gemaakt van de chevron embossingfolder.
De chevrons vind ik zeer geschikt voor mannenkaarten.
Het geheel is in stijl afgemaakt met een super mooi In Color lintje in de blauwe kleur Lost Lagoon.

This time we have a little extra challenge for you, because we would like you to make a masculine card with this sketch.
Normally I find it very hard to make masculine cards, but the new In Color Mossy Maedow and Lost Lagoon made it far more easy this time.
In combination with the Starburst Sayings stamps and framelits you have a pretty nice result in little time.
I couldn't resist using my Hardwood stamp on the background again. This time stamped in Smokey Slate.
I also used the chevron embossingfolder. 
I just love chevrons for masculine cards, don't you?
All is finished off in style with some beautiful In Color Lost Lagoon ribbon.

In navolging van Michelle Last heb ik ook de binnenkant aangekleed. 

De tekst komt uit de stempelset Bravo. Dit is één van de nieuwe photopolymer stempelsets (deze kennen de meeste mensen als Clear stempels). Wat zo geweldig is aan deze photopolymer stempels is dat je er doorheen kunt kijken, waardoor je ze heel makkelijk recht op je papier kunt plaatsen.

Ik vind het een uitvinding! Minder gedoe...en daar hou ik van!

De sterretjes en de pijltjes komen uit een andere nieuwe photopolymer stempelset genaamd Point & Click.

Deze set is zeer geschikt voor mensen die graag scrapbooken of met Project Life werken, maar je kunt er zeker ook fantastisch leuke kaarten mee maken. Zeer veelzijdig dus!

*** After I saw Michelle Last finish up her cards on the inside as well, I decided to give that a try too.

The sentiment is from the stampset Bravo. This is one of the brand new photopolymer stampsets. What I like most about these photopolymer stamps is you can look through them, which makes it so easy to stamp straight on your paper.

It's a wonderful invention! Less fuss...I love that!

The stars and arrows are from another new photopolymer stampset called Point & Click.

This set is very useful for people who like scrapbooking and/or Project Life, but you surely can make fantastic cards with this too.

Very versatile!

Flower shop met aquareltechniek

Heerlijk een nieuw aquareltechniekje zitten uitproberen. In dit geval is het een soort druppeltechniek.

Erg leuk te gebruiken bij stempels die opengewerkt zijn, zoals deze bloem uit de Flower Shop stempelset.

Hierbij heb ik expres voor leuke felle kleurtjes gekozen, zodat het een mooi zichtbaar effect geeft.

Nu had ik even geen aquarelpapier meer op voorraad, dus heb ik naar een alternatief gezocht.

Het effect met whisper white vond ik niet zo geweldig, dus toen heb ik het naturals white geprobeerd, omdat dit toch wat dikke papier is. En dat ging echt perfect! Daarbij heeft het dit papier een mooie natuurlijke uitstraling, wat ik echt geweldig vind.

Voor de achtergrond heb ik mijn favoriete Hardwood stempel gebruikt. Deze keer gestempeld in de kleur  Chocolate Chip op een crumb cake kaart, waardoor je echt een contrast krijgt. Dat was voor deze kaart ook de bedoeling.

*** Just been playing around with a new watercolor technique. In this case it's a dripple technique.

So much fun to use on lined stamps, like the one I used here out of the Flower Shop stampset.

For this technique I used bright colors, so the effect is clearly visable.

Unfortunately I ran out of watercolorpaper, so I looked for a replacement.

The effect on whisper white wasn't quite as good as I expected, but then I tried the naturals white cardstock, because this is a thicker cardstock. And wonderfully this worked out really well! 

This paper has a natural look which I really love.

For the background I used my favorite Hardwood stamp (again). This time I stamped it in the color Chocolate Chip on a crumb cake card, which gives a nice contrast. And I liked that on this card.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik een pocket gemaakt, waar nog een notitiekaart in kan.

Deze heb ik ook bestempeld en bewerkt met de aquareltechniek. Ik had er zoveel plezier in!

Daarnaast heb ik nog wat losse bloemen gestempeld en bewerkt. Deze heb ik uitgeponst met de bijpassende pons en ter versiering op de pocket bevestigd, zodat het een mooi geheel werd.

*** On the inside I made a pocket for a little notecard, which I also stamped and used the watercolor technique upon. I was having so much fun!

Also I stamped and punched some flowers to decorate the pocket, so the whole card is matching.

Hier zie je een close-up van de bloemen bewerkt met de aquareltechniek.

Het leuke aan deze techniek is, dat je het spontaan kunt laten ontstaan, maar je kunt het ook een beetje manipuleren door druppels te plaatsen waar jij ze graag zou willen zien.

*** Here's a close-up where you can see the watercolor technique on the flowers.

The fun part of this technique is you can either let the drops be spontanious or you can manipulate them a litte by placing them where you want a drop.

En hier is nog een ander kaartje dat ik met deze techniek heb gedaan.

Zoals jullie zien had ik er echt schik in!

Dit is het resultaat van een ochtendje spelen met een nieuwe aquareltechniek.

Oh, hello

Oh, hello wat beloofd het een mooie dag te worden vandaag!

Helemaal tijd voor een vrolijk kaartje. 

Er zijn van die dagen dan heb je iets in je hoofd en dan wil het niet zo uit je handen komen als dat het in je hoofd zit. Zo'n dag had ik laatst.

Deze kaarten zijn daar een mooi voorbeeld van!

Ik wilde nl. eigenlijk een tagtopper kaart maken, maar wat denk je....ik had de tags aan beide zijden niet evenwijdig geponst. Grrrr....ja, hier gaat ook echt weleens iets mis hoor!

Enfin, ik had zo'n 15 kaarten klaar gelegd en geponst. Zonde om weg te gooien!

Dus was het tijd om de creatieve oplossingen kraan open te zetten.

Tags eraf gesneden en toen hield ik toch nog een leuke kaart over.

Maar dat flapje bleef niet zo lekker dicht zitten. Mmmm...daar moest ook een oplossing voor komen.

Uiteindelijk heb ik een vellum band gemaakt met nog een pool party (aqua blauw) erop, omdat ik vond dat het blauw ook nog even terug moest komen.

De layout van de gestempelde bloemen zag ik op Pinterest en vond ik zo leuk!

Ik heb er nog wel een hardwood achtergrond aan toegevoegd, want dat vond ik net even gezelliger staan.

En natuurlijk een gezellig tekstje.

Time for a cheerful card.

There are days when you're crafting that your hands just won't be able to make what's inside your head.

I had one of those days last week.

These cards are a beautiful example of it!

I was planning to make a tagtopper card, but guess what...I didn't punch the tags equally on both sides. 

Grrrr...so you see it don't always work out with me either!

Anyway, I had prepared about 15 cards with tags and I just couldn't throw them away.

It was time to open up the crane for creative solutions.

I cut off the tags and was left with kind of a cute card.

But the little flap didn't close easily. Mmmmm...I had to come with a solution for this.

In the end I placed a vellum belly band around the card, which held all in place. 

The pool party flower was a nice decoration on this and this way the blue was used one more time which gave the card more balance.

The layout of the stamped flowers I saw on Pinterest. I liked it so much!

I added the hardwood background stamp for a little more cosy look.

And ofcourse I finished off with a sentiment.

Deze kaartjes heb ik naar de teamleden gestuurd die direct onder mij zijn ingeschreven.

Ik vond dat zij weleens even in het zonnetje gezet mochten worden.

I thought it was time to surprise them a little.

Ik had gelukkig ook nog een aantal kaarten nog niet geponst met de tagtopper pons.

Zodoende kon ik nog een andere variatie op deze kaart maken.

Het idee van de vellum band vond ik een leuk detail, dus dat heb ik ook naar deze kaart vertaald, door er een band op te maken. Alleen gaat deze niet helemaal om de kaart heen. Had ook gekund, maar ik vond het wel fijn dat deze op de kaart vast zit.

This way I could make a different variation on the card above.

I liked the idea of the belly band, so I used it on this card as well. Only this time I didn't wrap it all the way around the card. Could have done that, but I liked it to be stuck on this card.

De kleurtjes die ik heb gebruikt bij deze kaarten zijn Pool Party, Strawberry Slush, Brushing Bride en Chocolate Chip.

Natuurlijk ook weer gebruik gemaakt van een vlinderpons. In dit geval de Bitty Butterfly pons, welke toch stiekem wel mijn favoriete pons is.

Het beloofd weer een mooie dag te worden, dus tijd voor een zonnig en fleurig kaartje!

Ik zat even in een stempeldip met weinig inspiratie. Ja echt, dat heb ik ook van tijd tot tijd.

En dan is Pinterest toch een heerlijk medium om even op te snuffelen en inspiratie op te doen.

*** It looks promising to be a beautiful day, so time for a sunny floral card!

I was having a bit of a stampin' dip with little inspiration. Yes, I do have those too from time to time.

And I am so happy there's Pinterest for these times to snoop around for some inspiration.

Zo kwam ik op mijn card inspiration bord een mooie vrolijke kaart tegen van Dawn McVey.

Ik werd er blij van. Dus besloot ik deze kaart na te maken met Stampin' Up! producten.

De kleurtjes Daffodil Delight (geel) en Tempting Turquoise (blauw) vind ik heel mooi bij elkaar, al zou ik het zelf waarschijnlijk nooit verzonnen hebben om deze 2 kleuren te combineren.

Dat is het leuke als je eens kleuren pakt die je zelf niet zo snel zou kiezen, dan zie je opeens dat ze toch wel heel leuk zijn en zeker in combinatie met elkaar.

*** On my Card Inspiration Board I came across a happy card made by Dawn McVey.

It made me happy, so I decided to case this card with Stampin' Up! products.

The colors Daffodil Delight (yellow) and Tempting Turquoise (blue) fit each other well, eventhough I probably wouldn't have picked them together myself.

But that's just the fun part working with colors you normally wouldn't pick so easily. You suddenly see them work in combination with each other.

Natuurlijk heb ik aan dit kaartje ook wel een beetje de Caro touch gegeven. Maar de credits voor het overall design gaan voor deze kaart naar Dawn McVey. Ik vind haar stijl geweldig. Zij is een van mijn inspiratiebronnen.

** Ofcours I cased this card with a little Caro touch. But the credits for the overall design go to Dawn McVey. I really love her style. She's one of favorite inspiration sources.

Voor deze kaart heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de stempelset Simple Stems. Een prachtige set met bloemen.

De tekst komt uit de set Perfect Pennants. 

Op de achtergrond zie je heel subtiel de hardwood achtergrondstempel gestempeld in Sahara Sand.

De kleine bloemetjes zijn gemaakt met 1 van de Itty Bitty ponsjes (setje van 3 kleine ponsjes).

Als extra details heb ik een vlinder geponst uit vellum met de Elegant Butterfly pons en met silver glimmerpaper een vlindertje geponst met de Bitty Butterfly pons. Deze 2 ponsen blijf ik toch wel heel snel pakken voor het maken van vlindertjes. Het vlindertje is afgestyled met een klein bloemetje wat ik nog over had en een basic rhinestone jewel (plak diamantje).

Verder heb ik nog 2 knoopjes uit de brights designer buttons gebruikt en een stukje linnen thread (bruin touwtje) om het geheel af te maken.

De onderkant van de kaart heb ik met de Large Scallop Edgelits afgesneden als leuk extra detail. 

Weer eens wat anders dan een rechte onderkant.

*** For this card I used the stampset Simple Stems. A beautiful set of flowers.

The sentiment is from the stampset Perfect Pennants.

On the background you will notice a subtile Hardwood background stamp stamped in Sahara Sand.

The little flowers are made with one of the Itty Bitty punches (a 3 pack).

An extra detail is the vellum butterfly punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch. On top I punched a butterfly out of silver glimmer paper with the Bitty Butterfly punch. These 2 punches are my favorites! I love making butterflies with them. This butterfly is styled with a little flower I had left over and a basic jewel rhinestone.

Also I added 2 brights designer buttons and a little piece of linnen thread for some extra decoration.

The bottom of the card I cut off with the Large Scallop Edgelits as a neat detail.

So much more fun than a regular straight card.

Van de week heb ik jullie een paar kaarten laten zien, die gemaakt zijn met de hardwood achtergrond stempel. Nu had ik nog wat restjes liggen van die kaarten. Zonde om weg te gooien!

Vandaar dat ik nog even aan het prutsen ben geweest en daar is dit kaartje uitgekomen.

Weer een beetje in dezelfde trant als de vorige kaartjes, maar het is ook zo leuk om met die houten achtergrond te spelen! Deze keer ook maar weer eens een vlindertje gebruikt, want dat was alweer veel te lang geleden. En zo zie je dat je met een paar restjes ook best nog een leuk kaartje in elkaar kunt flansen.

*** This week I showcased a few cards using the hardwood background stamp. I had some scraps left over and didn´t want to through them away, so I figured out I could make another card. This is what came out of these scraps.

This card is simular to the other cards I showd you, but it´s so much fun playing with the hardwood background stamp. This time I used a butterfly again, because I haven´t used a butterfly for way too long on my creations. Kind of got to miss it. And so you see you can make a pretty nice card with some scraps as well.

Dit doosje heb ik van een Duits blog nagemaakt. Natuurlijk heb ik er wel mijn eigen draai aan gegeven met de scallop tag topper punch.
Deze keer heb ik weer lekker gespeeld met de Hardwood achtergrondstempel, welke al bijna niet meer van mijn kaartjes weg te denken is...ik vind 'm toch zooo gaaf!
De bloemetjes uit de stempelset So very grateful zijn ook zo schattig. Deze heb ik ingekleurd met de Stampin' Up! markers en de blenderpen in de kleuren primrose petals, pear pizzaz en always artichoke.
Het kleuren met de markers is ook iedere keer weer een feestje!

*** I saw this box on a German blog and I cased the idea. Ofcourse I did it with my own twist and I used the scallop tag toppeer punch.
This time I have been having so much fun playing with the Hardwood background stamp, which obviously is appearing more and more on my cards....I really love this stamp!
The flowers from the stampset So very grateful are so adorable. I colored these with Stampin' Up! markers and a blenderpen in the colors primrose petals, pear pizzaz and always artichoke.
Coloring with the Stampin' Up! markers is a party every time!

Oh wauw, wat een mooie kaart! Ik vind de houtnerf ook prachtig en wat heb je weer mooie kleuren bij elkaar gebruikt. De tekst heeft ook een leuk letterype. Ik gebruik zelf niet heel veel bloemen, maar ik vind ze wél heel leuk. Jij hebt ze mooi verwerkt op je kaart en die mini bloemetjes er bij zijn schattig. Oh, hij is nog te winnen ook? Deze kaart zet ik met liefde neer in mijn knutselkamer, het is een mooie inspirerende kaart!

Hij is weer supergaaf Caro as always. En ja bloemen en vlinders, hoe kan een mens zonder. De ieniemienie bloemetjes vind ik ook zo lief. Die achtergrond vond ik in de catalogus maar niks, maar hoe meer creaties ik er mee zag hoe meer het een musthave werd. En zoals je weet......

*** This card is super cool Caro as always. And yes flowers and butterflies, how can one live without.  These teeny tiny flowers are so cute. When I saw the hardwood background in the catalogue it didn't appeal to me, but now I see more creations it is becoming a musthave. And as you know.....

Vers van de pers *** Freshly made

Vandaag zag ik toch zo'n leuk kaartje op het blog van Cornelie!

Dat kaartje riep: "Case mij, case mij!"

Nou dat kun je dan toch niet weigeren toch?! 

En dit is dat kaartje van Cornelie:

Well I simply couldn't refuse to do so right away.

This is the card Cornelie has made:

Ik moest meteen aan de hardwood achtergrond stempel denken en het SAB papier en 1+1 was 2.

*** Too cute right?!

Right away the hardwood stamp came to mind and the SAB designer paper.

1+1 = 2...

En dit is mijn uitvoering geworden. Een klein beetje hetzelfde en toch een beetje anders.

Ik heb er een vriendschapskaartje van gemaakt. Dat vond ik wel mooi.

Voor het tekstje heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een stempel uit de Sentimenten van Stampin' Up!

Dat is toch zo'n verschrikkelijk handige set met tekstjes voor allerlei gelegenheden.

Ik gebruik 'm super graag!

I made it as a friendship card, which seemed nice to me.

The sentiment I used is the Dutch sentiment for {friend to friend}.

These sentiments are so very useful for many occassions.
