In navolging van de mummy heb ik nu ook Frankie gemaakt. Wat is dat leuk om te doen zeg! Het is een doosje waar je snoepjes of een zakje chips ofzo in kunt doen. (Was die mummy trouwens ook!)

Becky's Tote-ally Awesome Tote

Vorig weekend heb ik samen met Heidi de workshop Becky's Tote-ally Awesome Tote gemaakt. Althans het koffertje ervan. Voor de kaartjes hadden we helaas geen tijd meer.
Het was erg leuk om te doen!
Mijn kofferzijden waren alleen niet even groot. Ik had niet goed gemeten!!! Dat luistert dus zeer nauw. Maar ik
heb 'm toch nog redelijk kunnen herstellen. Dit is 'm geworden. Wat een schatje he?!
De sluiting hebben we gemaakt van een geponst stukje cardstock met een knoop in het midden. Het stukje cardstock houdt door middel van magneetjes het tasje bij elkaar. Wat een uitvinding!
Nu nog kaartjes erin maken. Misschien komt die proefsachet met 250 ml tijd die ik van Heidi heb gekregen toch nog van pas!

*** Last weekend I visited Heidi and together we made Becky's Tote-ally Awesome Tote. We made only the bag . We didn't have time to also make the cards to go with it.
It was a fun project!
I didn't measure correctly so I had 2 different sizes to put together. That didn't work! Luckily I could fix this a little so now they are almost even. This is how it turned out. CUTE hey?
We closed our little bag with a punched piece of cardstock. On top we made a button and it closes through magnets. What a discovery!
Now I have to find some time to make the cards to go along. Maybe I can use the tester with 250 ml of time I got from Heidi!

DWYT No. 5

JAAAAA, het is weer woensdag...kerstkaartenshowdag! Deze had ik eigenlijk gemaakt voor de Stamping 411 (121), maar helaas was ik te laat. Dus ik laat 'm vandaag gewoon zien. Ook leuk toch?!

Cards & things challenge 4

 

Voor de sketchchallenge van het Cards & Things blog heb ik deze week weer een kerstkaart gemaakt. Je kunt er immers niet genoeg van hebben. Ik begin wel een beetje zat van al die kerstkaarten te worden hoor, maar we gaan vrolijk door!
Deze heb ik gemaakt met mijn net nieuwe setje Deer Friends. Wat blijft dat toch een schattig setje! Nadat we bij Krista waren geweest MOEST ik deze ook hebben. Ja, die hebben-klieren hebben goed gewerkt!! Helaas retired, dus niet meer verkrijgbaar. Gelukkig vond ik nog iemand die die set van de hand wilde doen, dus ik was helemaal heppie!

*** For this weeks sketch challenge on the Cards & Things blog I made another Christmascard. You never have enough of those. I am getting a little tired making them, but I keep going on! This one I made with my newest set Deer Friends. What a cute little set! After we had the workshop at Krista's house I just had to have these. Unfortunately this was a retired set. Luckily I found someone who was willing to sell me this set. So I ended up totally happy!

MUMMY

 

In navolging van de zeer getalenteerde Gretchen Barron , die Frankie en zijn vrienden in topnote dies heeft ontworpen, heb ik de mummy nagemaakt. Ik was zo weg van die mummy dat ik 'm gewoon ook moest maken. Issie niet enig?
In imitation of the very talented Gretchen Barron, who designed Frankie and his friends in topnote dies, I made this cute little mummy. I just loved this mummy so I had to try it. Isn't he cute?

Theedoosje - Teabox

 

 

 

In navolging van Krista heb ik mij ook eens gewaagd aan het bekleden van een theedoosje. Hiervoor heb ik gebruik gemaakt van papier van My mind's eye - de Penny Lane serie. Ik wilde dit graag met rood combineren, omdat ik er ook een rode theekom met een theepotje erop bij heb gekocht (rood-witte stippen van Xenos). Ik vond het erg leuk om te doen en in tegenstelling tot Krista was ik met een uurtje klaar.
Als je dit ook wilt maken is het verstandig om eerst even de slotjes eraf te schroeven!
Vandaag ga ik dit setje aan Heidi en Yentl geven, want daar ga ik knutselen vanmiddag.

*** In imitation of Krista I tried to pimp a little teabox. I used some paper of My mind's eye - Penny Lane series. I wanted to combine this with red, because I bought a red theebowl with a little teapot on top to go with the box (red-white dotted, bought at Xenos). I had fun with this little project. And while Krista was sweating for 2 hours, I finished up in one. If you would like to make such a box it's wise to remove the screws before you start! Today I am going to give this set to Heidi and Yentl, because I am going over to make cards.

Herfstketting - Autumn chain

 

 

Pas geleden was er op de kaartenmakersgroep een herfstketting waar je aan deel kon nemen. Dat heb ik gedaan. De bovenste kaart heb ik gemaakt en de onderste kaart heb ik van mijn kettingmaatje Yvonne gekregen. Yvonne heeft erg haar best gedaan met pergamano prikken. Wat een werk!
Ik heb mijn kaart gemaakt met een foto die ik vorig jaar heb genomen vlakbij het huis van mijn ouders. Hierbij heb ik de hertjes van Get Inspired gebruikt. Met de blaadjes van de set Shapes and Shadows heb ik een soort hoekjes proberen te maken.
Vandaag vond ik het wel weer om jullie dit te showen. Het is echt herfstweer met al die regen!

A while ago the cardmakersgroup had a Autumn chain. I signed up for this. The card at the bottom is from my chainpartner Yvonne. She had a great job making all the pergamano punches.
For my card (the upper one) I used a photo which I took about a year ago nearby my parents house. I combined this with the deer of Get Inspired. With the leaves of the Shapes and Shadows set I created little corners.
Today was a great day for showing this to you. It's really Autumnweather here with all the rain!

IN COLOR CHALLENGE

 

Op de stempelparty yahoogroep was er een In Color challenge. Voor deze challenge heb ik deze blocknote gemaakt met een kaartje erbij. De blocknote heb ik leuk ingepakt in een cellofaanzakje met een bijpassende topnote dicht gemaakt met een lintje. Nu maar afwachten wie er gaat winnen....

*** At the stempelparty yahoogroup a In Color challenge was held. For this challenge I made this cute little notebook with a little card. I wrapped the notebook in a cellobag with a coordanating topnote closed with a ribbon. All I can do now is wait and see who won....

Christmascard showday!

 

 

 

Het is alweer woensdag, dus kerstkaartshowdag! Dit is de 1e creatie die ik gemaakt heb met het setje van Darkroom door. Ik heb 'm jullie alleen nog steeds niet laten zien, want ik wilde 'm eerst insturen voor publicatie. Tenminste een poging daartoe. Maar ik heb toch besloten het niet te doen. Vraag me niet waarom. GEEN IDEE!!
Hij lijkt een beetje op een kaart die ik al eerder heb geshowd, maar het zijn echt 2 verschillende kaarten. Om het verschil te laten zien heb ik onderaan de andere kaart ook toegevoed.
Ik hoop dat jullie deze ook gaaf zullen vinden, want ik voelde me best trots toen ik 'm af had. Vind 'm zelf namelijk TE GEK! Wel raar om dat van je eigen creatie te zeggen, maar ik vind het gewoon. En dat heb ik niet vaak, dus vandaar dat ik het toch opschrijf. Ik hoop nu alleen dat jullie dat ook vinden!!

*** It's Wednesday again, so it's Christmascardshowday! This is the first creation I made with my Darkroom door stamps. I haven't shown it yet, because I at first I wanted to send it in for publication. At least an attempt for publication. But I decided not to do so. Don't ask me why. I HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE!!
This card is a bit simular to a card I've shown before. To show you the difference I added the other card as well (last one). I hope you'll like my card, because I was so proud of it when I finished. I think this card is AMAZING! A bit strange to say so about your own creation, but I felt it like this. I don't have this feeling about my creations very often, that's why I share it with you. I hope you'll feel so too!!

Cards & Things challenge 2

 

Deze week is er op het blog van Cards & Things een sketch challenge. Het is een eenvoudige, maar leuke sketch!
Ik heb er een 10,5x10,5 cm verjaardagskaartje mee gemaakt, omdat ik deze toch nodig had. En ik was de kerstkaarten even beu. Verjaardagkaartjes kun je nooit genoeg hebben vind ik. Zelf kom ik er nogal eens op het laatste nippertje achter dat iemand jarig is/was en dan is het altijd handig om alvast een kaartje te hebben liggen. Ik hoop dat jullie 'm leuk vinden!

*** This week there's a sketch challenge on the Cards & Things blog. It's a simple but fun sketch! I made a 4x4" birthdaycard with it, because I needed one. By the way I was a bit tired of Christmascards (already!). I like to have some birthdaycards in stock. I mostly discover birthdays very last minute and then it's nice to have a card lying around. I hope you like it!

Box with cards

 

 

Ik vind het doosje dat we bij Krista hebben gemaakt zo leuk dat ik het nog een keertje heb gemaakt met allerhande kaartjes. Dit doosje ga ik als bij-cadeautje geven aan de arts waar ik mee werk. Ze viert morgen haar verjaardag. Ik hoop maar dat ze mijn creatie leuk vindt. Het hoofdcadeau is een bolcrysant en een mooie ketting.

*** I like the little box we made at Krista's workshop zo much, I made it again. This time with cards for all sorts of occassions. This box is a present for the doctor I work with. She celebrates her birthday tomorrow at the office. I hope she'll like my creation. The main present is a plant and a beautiful necklace.
The sentiments say in Dutch: Enjoy every moment, Get well soon, Just because, lots of love, it's your birthday.
