Christmas card showday!

Het is er even bij ingeschoten, maar hier is dan weer een kaartje voor de kerstkaartenshowdag!

*** I haven't made Christmascards in a while, but here's one for you today at Christmas card showday!

Lesje 3 luik kaartje *** Tutorial 3 way card

Hier is het beloofde lesje voor het 3 luik kaartje dat ik al 2 keer eerder heb gemaakt.
De eerste was een kerstkaart en de ander was een verjaardagskaart. Je kunt er dus alle kanten mee op.
Laten we beginnen...
*** Here's the promised tutorial to make a 3 way card (don't know the proper English word for it!) I made 2 times before. The first one was a Christmascard and the other one was a birthdaycard. You can use it for all sort of cards. Here we go...

Wat heb je nodig?
* een stuk cardstock(kaartkarton) van 27,2 x 7 cm (bij mij roze)
* een stuk cardstock van 6,5 x 6 cm (bij mij wit)
* een stuk cardstock van 6,5 x 4,5 cm (bij mij oranje)
* een stukje design papier van 4,5 x 4 cm (bij mij de bloemetjes)
* een stukje design papier van 9,8 x 6,5 cm (bij mij gestreept)
* een stukje design papier van 6,5 x 6 cm (bij mij de bloemetjes)
* ronde hoekpons
* randpons (naar eigen keuze)
* dubbelzijdig plakband
* stempels en materiaal naar keuze om het kaartje af te pimpen.
(De maten zijn een beetje raar, maar ach..ik ben ook een beetje vreemd..whahaha)

*** What do you need?
* a piece of cardstock 27,2 x 7 cm (pink)
* a piece of cardstock 6,5 x 6 cm (white)
* a piece of cardstock 6,5 x 4,5 cm (oranje)
* a piece designer series paper 4,5 x 4 cm (flowers)
* a piece designer series paper 9,8 x 6,5 cm (stripes)
* a piece designer series paper 6,5 x 6 cm (flowers)
* corner rounder punch
* border punch of your choice
* sticky tape
* stamps and materials of your choise to pimp the card.
(The measurements are a bit odd, but hey guess I am a bit weird! Sorry they are in cms.)

Score je stuk cardstock van 27,2 x 7 cm (je basiskaart) op 6,5 en 16,9 cm.
Nu ga je alle hoeken afronden met de ronde hoekpons. Vergeet niet om je flapjes naar binnen te vouwen, zodat je ook die hoekjes kunt ponsen.
Deze stap moet je niet vergeten, anders wordt je kaart te dik om de hoekjes nog te ponsen. (Je begrijpt het al... de ervaring spreekt!).
Pons de rand van het stukje cardstock van 6,5 x 6 cm met een randpons (wit op mijn kaart).
Plak hierop het stukje cardstock van 6,5 x 4,5 cm (oranje op mijn kaart).
Plak hierop vervolgens het stukje design papier van 4 x 4,5 cm aan de rechterkant.
Plak het geheel op het korte stuk van je basiskaart. Het geheel ziet er nu zo uit:
*** Score the cardstock of 27,2 x 7 cm (basecard) at 6,5 and 16,9 cm.
Punch all corners with your corner rounder punch. Don't forget to fold the card so you can do all corners. Make sure you don't forget this step, otherwise your card will be to thick to punch the corners. (Yes, the experience is talking!).
Punch the border of the piece of cardstock 6,5 x 6 cm with a border punch of your choice (white cardstock on my card).
On this you put the piece of cardstock 6,5 x 4,5 cm (orange on my card) with sticky tape.
Now put the piece of designer paper 4 x 4,5 cm on the right of the orange piece.
You can place this on the right (smaller) piece of your base card with sticky tape.
It will look like this:

Plaats nu het stukje design papier van 9,8 x 6,5 cm (eerst hoekjes afronden met pons!) op je basiskaart aan de linker (lange) kant. De kaart ziet er nu zo uit:
*** Now place the piece of designer paper 9,8 x 6,5 cm (first make sure you rounded the corners with your punch!) on the left (long) side of your basecard.
Your card will now look like this:

En als je de kaart naar binnen vouwt ziet hij er zo uit:
*** And when you fold your card it will look like this:

Nu nog het stukje design papier van 6,5 x 6 cm (ook weer eerst de hoekjes afronden met je pons) aan de korte binnenkant plakken en dan is de basis klaar om te pimpen!
Hieronder zie je nog 2 foto's hoe de kaart er in dit stadium uit ziet.
*** All you have to do now is place the designer paper 6,5 x 6 cm (also first make sure you used your corner rounder punch on the corners) on the short inside of the card and the base is ready to pimp! Underneath you see 2 photos how the card looks at this stage.

Ik heb de vlindertjes en de bloemetjes bewerkt met iridescent ice embossing poeder, zodat ze lekker glitteren.
*** I used iridescent ice embossing on the butterflies and the flowers, so they are glittering away.

He, he, hier zijn dan eindelijk mijn kaartjes voor de uitdagingen van DWYT en Cards&Things van de afgelopen week. Jullie kunnen nog steeds meedoen!
Verder moet ik tot mijn schande bekennen dat ik het kaartje voor mijn 100ste blogger nog niet heb verzonden! OHO! Ik ga er speciaal 1tje maken vandaag en dan komt ie naar je toe! Dus nog even geduld a.u.b.
Voor de workshopjes die ik beloofd heb, heb ik helaas ook nog geen tijd gehad.
Het is hier in mijn priveleven een beetje hectisch op het moment en daar heb ik wat extra energie voor nodig. Ik hoop dat jullie daar begrip voor hebben.

Deze keer geen stipjes, maar de paisley folder van cuttlebug als achtergrond.

Toen ik van de week het kaartje voor de Cards & Things uitdaging had gemaakt heb ik met de restjes deze 2 kaartjes gemaakt. Normaal gebruik ik niet zo vaak geel, maar op deze manier vind ik het toch wel aardig.

Zo het is weer DWYTTERdag! Erna heeft een hele leuke sketch verzorgd deze week.
Ik heb zoveel plezier gehad met deze sketch. Had ik net mijn kaart af bedacht ik me dat ik helemaal geen SU! had gebruikt...oh nee, dat kan niet bij de voorbeelden. Die moeten van SU! zijn. Gelukkig mogen jullie wel andere merken gebruiken en dan je kaart linken! Maar goed, het was geen straf om nog een kaart met deze super leuke sketch te maken hoor. Ik heb 'm gewoon ff vertaald naar SU! *LOL*

This week Erna made the sketch. I had so much fun. Just when I finished the card I realized I hadn't used any SU! products....oh boy! Now I couldn't load it up in the showcase. But hey, it was no punishment to make another card with this great sketch.

Het is weer dinsdag, dus is er weer een nieuwe uitdaging bij Cards & Things. En niet alleen een uitdaging, maar ook een heuse wedstrijd! Jij doet toch ook mee???
Deze keer heeft Krista weer een super gave sketch gemaakt.
In het begin had ik er even geen inspiratie voor, maar al gauw wist ik dat ik echt een sterretje wilde gebruiken.
Ik had immers ooit eens zo'n leuk sterretje bij Ludiec gekocht van Different Colors. Deze heb ik met iridescent ice embossingpoeder geembosst en nu glittert ie lekker. Hetzelfde geldt voor het hertje. Die hertjes blijven leuk!

*** It's Tuesday again, which means there is a new challenge at Cards & Things. And not only a challenge, but it's a competition as well! Come on and play along!
This time Krista came up with a super cool sketch.
At first I didn't have inspiration, but soon I knew I had to use a star like in the sketch.
Once I bought a cute litte star from Different Colors at Ludiec. I embossed this with iridescent ice embossingpouder.
It blings away. Same goes for the deer. Stil love these deers.

2 Fifth Avenue Floral cards

 

 

Hier zijn 2 snelle kaartjes die ik heb gemaakt met de set Fifth Avenue Floral.
Deze set gebruik ik niet zo vaak, omdat ik op de een of andere manier nooit helemaal tevreden ben over de kaartjes die ik daarmee maak. Ik heb ooit op een blog eens wat rustige kaartjes ermee gezien in natuurlijke kleuren. Helaas kan ik dat blog niet meer vinden en weet ik ook niet wie die gave kaartjes heeft gemaakt. Ik moest het doen met wat ik had onthouden. Uiteindelijk ben ik hier min of meer tevreden over.

*** Here are 2 quick cards I made with the set Fifth Avenue Floral.
I don't often use this set, because I am almost always not satisfied with the result.
I saw some beautiful simple cards in natural colors with this set once. Unfortunately I haven't saved the link to that blog and I don't know who made these cards. So I couldn't case it. I had to work with what I remembered.
Finally I am more or less satisfied about these cards.

Paper: some paper I got from Alice. Don't know which brand, but it's very nice to work with and it has a texture in it.

Magnolia

 

 

 

Een tijdje terug had ik een knutselavondje met 2 gezellige buufjes. Zij zijn allebei bezig met het inkleuren en verwerken van Magnoliastempels. Dus had ik bedacht dat ik me zou aanpassen aan hun uitspattingen en het nog eens ging proberen met die Magnolia's. Zoals jullie wellicht wel weten ben ik niet zo gek op Magnolia. Ik vind het werk wat anderen ermee maken vaak geweldig, maar ik kan mijn draai er niet erg mee vinden.
Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor Julia's verjaardag. Zij zit bij Roel in de klas. Ik hoop dat ze 'm leuk vond.
Ik heb de binnenkant ook versierd deze keer. Dat geeft net even een extra touch.
Ben ook erg benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden...

*** A little while ago 2 of my darling neighbours and I had a creative evening together. They are totally into Magnolia stamps. So I decided to adjust and give it another try. As you might know I am not that into Magnolia. I do like what other people make with these stamps, but I cannot find my way with them.
I made this card for Julia's birthday. She's in Roels class. Hope she liked it.
I did the inside this time as well as you can see. It gives an extra touch.
Also I am excited to find out what you think of my creation...

Little stamping a lot of embossing

 

Deze kaart heb ik voor een vakantievriendin gemaakt die jarig is.
Ik heb de manhattan flower embossingfolder gebruikt en het geembosste met een fijn schuurpapiertje bewerkt.
Je krijgt dan zo'n mooi fluweel effect. Het papier voelt helemaal zacht aan.
Eigenlijk gebruik ik deze embossingfolder veel te weinig! Hij is zo mooi!

*** This is a card I made for a friend we met last vacation. She's having her birthday. I used the manhattan flower embossingfolder and sanded it with a fine sandingpaper. It gets a velvet look and the paper even feels soft.
I have to use this embossingfolder more often! It's so pretty!

Hopelijk ben ik nog net op tijd om mee te doen met Stamping 411's sketch 141.
Ik heb mijn favoriete setje maar weer eens van stal gehaald. Blijft leuk om mee te spelen!
Deze keer heb ik gekozen voor natuurlijke tinten.

Another transparent one

 

Ben helemaal in de ban van de transparante kaartjes zoals jullie zien. Deze keer niet geembosst, maar met Stazon Opal white bestempeld. Dat geeft ook een leuk effect.

*** I am totally into transparent cards as you can see. This one isn't embossed, but stamped with Stazon Opal white. This also gives a fun effect.

DWYT 24

 

Mijn bijdrage voor DWYT 24. Ik had de sketch niet helemaal goed in mijn hoofd. Dat krijg je ervan als 't laptoppie beneden staat en ik boven zit te freubelen. Normaal teken ik de sketch even, maar ik dacht dat ik 'm wel kon onthouden. Dat is niet helemaal gelukt. hihihihi. Ach ja, een mens kan niet alles hebben.
Die cupcakejes vind ik zooo leuk! Ik heb ze voor deze gelegenheid bewerkt met stickles.

*** My contribution for DWYT 24. I didn't follow the sketch exactly. I thought I could memorize it, but guess not.
My laptop was downstairs while I was busy crafting in the addict.
I love these cupcakes! For this occassion I put stickles on them.
